# Developer tools detected

> Your browser's developer tools were open while you verified.

> Developer tools detected, close them and try again

The server doesn't allow verification with developer tools open.

## Fix it

1. Close the developer tools panel. It's usually opened with <kbd>F12</kbd>, or <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>Option</kbd> <kbd>I</kbd> on Mac.
2. Get a [new link](https://docs.authenticateme.xyz/help/verification-errors/link-expired.md) and verify again.
