# AuthenticateMe's role is too low

> The server's staff need to move AuthenticateMe's role above the role it gives out.

> AuthenticateMe's role is too low to give you the role, let the server's staff know

You passed verification, but AuthenticateMe couldn't give you the role, because of how the server's roles are ordered. Discord only lets an app give roles that sit **below** its own.

## If you're a member

There's nothing wrong with your account. Let the server's staff know you saw this message. Once they fix it, verify again.

## If you're staff

Open **Server Settings → Roles** and drag the AuthenticateMe role above the Verified Role, and above the Unverified Role if you use one.
