# Role problem

> AuthenticateMe couldn't give you the server's role because of how the server is set up.

> AuthenticateMe couldn't give you the role, let the server's staff know

You passed verification, but AuthenticateMe couldn't give you the role because of how the server is set up.

## If you're a member

Nothing is wrong with your account. Let the server's staff know which message you saw, and verify again once they've fixed it.

## If you're staff

| Cause | Fix |
| - | - |
| AuthenticateMe is missing **Manage Roles** | Give the AuthenticateMe role **Manage Roles** in **Server Settings → Roles**. |
| The Verified or Unverified Role was deleted | Pick a new role in **Settings** on the dashboard. |
| The role is managed by another app | Pick a regular role in **Settings** on the dashboard. |
