# Verification timed out

> The verification page didn't get an answer in time.

> Verification timed out, clear your cookies or try another browser

The verification page waits up to a minute for the result. This error means the answer didn't come back in time, which is usually caused by the browser or the network rather than your account.

## Fix it

1. Clear your browser's cookies for authenticateme.xyz, then get a new link by clicking **Verify** in the server.
2. Try another browser without an ad blocker or other extensions.
3. Try another network or device.

If it keeps happening, check [status.authenticateme.xyz](https://status.authenticateme.xyz), then press **Contact Support**.
