Resetting a member removes their verification in your server and deletes their verification records there. They have to verify again to get back in. It’s also how you give a member who hit Max Verifications a fresh set of attempts.

Reset a member

Run /reset-user user:@member, or paste their user ID. This works for people who already left the server too.
AuthenticateMe then does the following.
  • Deletes the member’s verification records in your server, which also resets their failed attempts.
  • Removes the Verified Role, and any role a failed check gave them, such as the Max Verifications role.
  • Gives them the Unverified Role, if you use one.
  • With Auto DM on, tells them by DM that staff reset their verification and where to verify again. If their DMs are closed and Notify to open DMs is on, they’re pinged in the verification channel instead.
  • Posts a “Verification reset” entry to your General Logs.
The reply tells you whether the member was notified. You need Manage Roles by default.
A reset only affects your server. A member’s verification in other servers that use AuthenticateMe stays as it is.
